Individual Counseling
I work with individual adults 18 years of age and older on a variety of issues. As a neurodivergent person, I also specialize in working with fellow neurodivergent folks using a neurodivergent-affirming paradigm and never a pathology paradigm. I believe in creating a space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to explore your path toward healing. Clients describe me as open, non-judgmental, and a fellow human who does not act like an expert. I describe myself as a thoughtful introvert who attempts to create a safe, gentle space for people to feel like all their parts are welcome.
Parts Work
I often incorporate parts work, a compassionate approach that views the mind as made up of different “parts” – aspects of yourself that may hold various feelings, beliefs, and memories. We work together to understand and connect with these parts. By building a relationship with each part, we aim to foster self-compassion, heal wounds, and access the inner wisdom that can guide your growth.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
In our work, I may use elements of ACT, an approach that helps you build resilience by focusing on acceptance, mindfulness, and commitment to values-based action. Rather than avoiding difficult thoughts and emotions, ACT encourages you to relate to them in a new way-allowing space for what you feel while staying grounded in what truly matters to you.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR is a powerful therapy for healing from trauma, anxiety, and other distressing experiences. EMDR helps you process and reframe difficult memories, body sensations, thoughts or beliefs. Bilateral Stimulation allows the brain to process and decrease the intensity of the past experiences, so that you feel less in the grip of the past and more able to focus on the present.
Fees: I currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, private pay, or I have limited space for sliding scale clients (based on your income).
